Professional Reputation

Family Law

Neelam regularly appears in private law cases acting for parents involving disputes of contact and living arrangement. Neelam has experience in representing parents in Finding of Fact Hearings where there are allegations of domestic abuse. In addition, Neelam is also regularly instructed to represent clients in injunction applications, such as Non-Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders. 

Neelam also accepts instructions in all areas of public and family law proceedings within the Magistrates and County Court. This includes acting on behalf of local authorities, parents and other family members.

Most notably, during her second six in pupillage, Neelam was led by Mrs Sally Collins whilst acting on behalf of the Local Authority in a complex public law matter, including issues of significant sexual, physical and emotional abuse.

Criminal Law

Neelam is a Crown Prosecution Service Grade 1 Prosecutor. She regularly receives instructions by the Crown Prosecution Service to appear in the Magistrates Court and is widening her experience in the Crown Court.

Neelam is also available to accept instructions by Defence Solicitors. Her experience to date includes trials in the Magistrates’ Court and appearances in the Crown Court for Mentions, Committal for Sentences and Bail Applications.

In addition, she regularly appears in both the Magistrates’ and Crown Court on behalf of the National Probation Service and local Police.

Civil Law

Prior to her pupillage, Neelam worked within a litigation firm for just under 2 years where she built upon her experience in Civil Law.

She accepts instructions in a range of Civil matters, including small claims and stage 3 hearings involving road traffic collisions and personal injury.
