Rebecca Miller LLB (Hons) Sheffield, Call 2007

Rebecca is a Family Law specialist and worked in the Hull area for nine years as a Legal Adviser within the Magistrates Court prior to joining Chambers.  She has an in-depth knowledge of the legislative framework, up-to-date case law and procedures to be applied within the court system.  She can be relied upon to work effectively and efficiently with understanding to the client’s position.

Professional Reputation

Prior to working as a Legal Adviser Rebecca was employed by CAFCASS and the National Youth Agency working within the field of children’s rights.  Her knowledge in this area of the law is recognised nationally and she has delivered training and consultancy to Government and other organisations nationally and internationally.  She has extensive skills working directly with young people and vulnerable adults and will accept instructions on behalf of children and young people.
Rebecca has specialised within the Family Court over the last four years and accepts instructions in both private and public law cases. She represents all parties including local authorities in all aspects of cases.  She has experience of dealing with proceedings within the Public Law outline, including emergency hearings; contested interim removal cases; finding of fact hearings; contested final hearings and adoption including leave to oppose. Her knowledge of private law proceedings under the Child Arrangements Programme is extensive and she will be able to represent clients throughout the process.
She has excellent knowledge of proceedings relating to enforcement of maintenance orders: in particular in reciprocal enforcement of such orders internationally and is recognised as a regional authority in this area of law.
