We are delighted to formally introduce you to Wayne Stevens and Sharon Andrews as they take the reins in the Wilberforce clerks’ room. Some of you may have spoken to them on the telephone already in recent days.
Sharon will be a very familiar face (or voice) to all of our instructing solicitors. Following a long career at the Hull Combined Court where she has been involved over the years in criminal and civil work Sharon will put her most recent experiences in Family Court listing to good use now that she has become our Family Clerk.
Wayne Stevens is our new Senior Clerk. He will be responsible for criminal and civil clerking. He brings to Wilberforce Barristers over 20 years of clerking experience from his previous senior clerking role in Leeds. Wayne has had responsibility over the years for clerking some of the North Eastern Circuit’s most distinguished QC’s as well as overseeing the progress of many talented junior barristers.
Sharon and Wayne will be seeking to speak to as many of you as possible in the coming weeks both over the telephone or on Zoom, Skype and the other remote platforms that we have become accustomed to in recent weeks. Once our working lives return to some degree of normality we will ensure that there is the opportunity to meet in a more traditional setting.
