Wilberforce Barristers are delighted to announce the arrival of new pupil, Joanna Hawkett, to Chambers.  Joanna graduated from the University of Hull with an LL.B Law (First Class Honours) in 2004 and graduated with an Outstanding upon successful completion of the Bar Professional Training Course.
Since that time, Joanna has spent an amazing 7 years serving as Parliamentary Aide to our very own Honorary Member of Chambers, Karl Turner MP. In that role she worked closely with national and local government, local authorities and key stakeholders.
Joanna also gained valuable legal experience working with Karl during his period of office as Shadow Attorney General.
Joanna now commences her pupillage at Wilberforce Barristers to realise her ambition to qualify as a barrister. Given Joanna’s Parliamentary background, this will doubtless bring invaluable experience to her future practice at the Bar.
Joanna will commence her 'second six' in September and her pupil supervisor is Naomi M Madderson.
