Experience

Prior to starting Pupillage, James worked as an Intern at the Criminal Cases Review Commission. The role involved analysing applications to refer a conviction and/or sentence to the Court of Appeal and compiling summaries. It also involved conducting research into sentencing historic offences, ID evidence and jury directions, among others. Further, James answered calls on the Helpline and provided information on the process of appealing or applying to the Commission to convicted persons and other callers.
