Molly commenced pupillage in September 2024 under the supervision of Rachel Scott and Joanne Jenkins.
Experience
Before starting Pupillage, Molly gained substantial legal experience across a breadth of fields. She worked as an Assistant Legal Officer at Kirklees Council, where she focused on Care Proceedings and Court of Protection matters. In this role, Molly conducted advocacy in the Magistrates’ Court, drafted legal documents, and managed a large and varied caseload.
Prior to this, Molly worked as a Legal Assistant at Calderdale Council in the Childcare department. Her role involved drafting legal documents, preparing court bundles, and working closely with professional clients.
Molly has also undertaken a variety of freelance and charity work. She has provided legal research for Just Security, assisting with high-profile international model prosecutions. Molly has also assisted with drafting documents for judicial review cases concerning sentencing for youths who have committed murder.
Molly has volunteered with the Witness Service, and Mitie where she mentored several offenders through the criminal justice service. She has also volunteered for Restorative Solutions, delivering offender rehabilitation courses on behalf of West Yorkshire Police. In addition, Molly has also previously sat on Referral Order Panels for youths.
Molly also previously worked at an intellectual property firm and spent two years completing weekly work experience at several conveyancing firms.
