Cathrine Kioko-Gilligan as Equality and Diversity officer is pleased to announce Wilberforce Chambers involvement in the 10,000 Black Interns Programme.
The programme is designed to support Black students and graduates and address chronic under-representation of Black talent across various sectors, It aims to “transform the horizons and prospects of young Black people in the UK by offering paid work experience across a wide range of industries, as well as world-class training and development.”
Wilberforce Chambers is committed to this programme and will be agreeing to provide excellent legal work experience to a candidate for one week during the Summer of 2022. It is our hope and mission that by participating in such initiatives, young black talent will be encouraged to join the bar and ensure the profession positively reflects the diverse society we currently live in.
