All at Chambers wish to congratulate our very own John Thackray on achieving both his recent QC status and now an appointment to the Bench. For those of you who managed to miss the fantastic “high spirits” photograph of him in the Daily Telegraph on 12th March as he left the “Silk Cut” ceremony please do click on the link below.
John will be sitting in the Crown Court in Grimsby from Tuesday 19th March. If anyone is in Grimsby on Tuesday morning at 10am there will be a formal welcome for him as he begins his full time judicial career. Please do join us if you can to support him. It is of course particularly pleasing that he has been appointed to sit at one of our local court centres.
Whilst we are all “buzzing” about this amazing news for John and Chambers, it goes without saying that we shall miss him and we are sorry to lose him as a valued colleague and member of Chambers.
