Dale Brook, leading Oliver Shipley, acted on behalf of defendant Florjan Kasaj, who was charged with conspiring with 3 other co-defendants to produce cannabis on an industrial scale, and possession of criminal property, namely thousands of pounds in cash.
The conspiracy was valued approximately at £9 million pound across several years. The evidence at trial included telephone data, cell cite analysis and undercover surveillance.
Following an 8-week trial at Hull Crown Court, the defendant was acquitted of possessing criminal property, yet convicted of the conspiracy along with the 3 other co-defendants. The defendants were sentenced to a total of 26 and a half years in prison.
