In trial before HHJ Bury in Hull Crown Court, Dale Brook represented a 38-year-old man charged with rape and sexual assault of an 18 year old woman following a drunken one-night stand.
The prosecution case was supported by the Complainant’s mother, father, and her then-boyfriend. The case centred strongly around issues of witness credibility as well as intoxication and consent.
The jury unanimously acquitted Dale’s client on both counts in 90 minutes.
Following the trial, HHJ Bury praised Dale for his conduct of the case, giving particular praise for Dale’s closing speech.
Dale was instructed by Roy Foreman & Co Solicitors.
