New pupils welcomed

Wilberforce Barristers are pleased to welcome two new pupils to chambers.

We wish them all the best in their first six months of pupillage.

Amber Hobson started pupillage on 9th September 2019 under the supervision of Claire Holmes. She obtained law degree from Hull University (2:1) and completed a masters in law at the University of Sunderland.  She completed the Bar Professional Training Court at Nottingham (Very Competent).  Amber has lectured at Northumbria University, teaching Criminal Law on the Legal Practice Course. Amber’s background is predominantly in criminal defence, having represented clients as a Prison Law advocate in parole matters. She is an accredited Police Station representative and has worked extensively as a criminal paralegal.  Before coming to Chambers, Amber was working as a Legal Clerk in a personal injury firm, focusing on low velocity impact civil claims and identifying fraudulent claims.

Chloe commenced pupillage on 9th September 2019 under the supervision of Julia Baggs.Chloe graduated from Northumbria University with a first class degree and a very competent in the BPTC. She was also awarded the Cathedral Chambers prize for excellency in family practice 2017. Prior to her pupillage Chloe was working as a paralegal for Wilkin Chapman LLP specialising in Commercial Property.
