Prior to commencing Pupillage, Abigail acted pro bono as an education advocate for a charitable organisation. In this role, Abigail represented families and children in school exclusion hearings, including Governor Disciplinary hearings and independent review panels. Abigail also advised parents on the legality of school decisions and on Grounds of Appeal, applying Judicial Review principles.
Abigail was awarded the Major Sir Jules Thorn scholarship by Middle Temple in May 2021. Prior to this, Abigail worked as a Legal Officer within a local authority where she managed her own caseload under overall supervision within the areas of commercial, property and development law.
To date, Abigail volunteers as a speaker with the Schools Consent Project, delivering workshops in schools on the topic of sexual consent and the law.
Abigail read History/Philosophy at undergraduate level before gaining a distinction in her MA law degree.
