Before pupillage
Samantha undertook her pupillage under the supervision of Dale Brook.
Prior to commencing pupillage, Samantha worked as a self-employed County Court Advocate for over three years. She accepted instructions in a wide variety of contested civil matters including small claims, housing matters and numerous civil applications. In this role, Samantha appeared in courts across circuit, both in person and remotely, and gained considerable advocacy experience.
Samantha has volunteered for various organisations, including for Street Law where she delivered talks to 15- and 16-year-old school children around the issue of sexual consent.
Samantha has also volunteered at Citizens Advice Bureau and trained with Newcastle Youth Offending Team. As a result of these roles, she has developed experience in dealing with children and vulnerable individuals in relation to both criminal matters and civil concerns.
Samantha successfully completed her pupillage and became a full tenant on 5th September 2023.
