Connor joined Chambers following successful completion of his pupillage in September 2022.
Before joining the Bar, Connor worked as a paralegal at DAC Beachcroft. He gained considerable experience as a litigator in high profile and serious cases, including work on the Post Office Horizon IT inquiry.
Prior to this, Connor was an intern for the District Attorney’s Office for Miami-Dade in Florida, and worked across several different departments, including Homicide, Human Trafficking and Cyber-Crime. His work also included a number of capital punishment cases. In addition, he volunteered as an advocate for the Newcastle Advocacy Service, acting for clients who suffered from conditions that included dementia, Parkinson’s disease, motor neuron disease and Asperger Syndrome.
Connor is developing a broad practice across the spectrum of criminal offences. He is regularly instructed to appear for the prosecution and the defence in the Crown Court, Youth Court and Magistrates’ Courts on both a private and publicly funded basis.
Connor has experience in cases involving serious violence (including domestic violence), drugs, weapons, public order, robbery and fraud. Connor is also regularly instructed to represent clients charged with motoring offences.
Connor has particular experience in serious Youth Court work and in representing vulnerable individuals, having built upon his previous experience as a panel member for the Youth Offending Team in Newcastle. Connor is a Level 2 Panel Advocate for General Crime.
Connor has established a busy practice in children proceedings and accepts instructions in both private and public law matters. He has appeared on behalf of numerous Local Authorities in a range of Public Law applications ranging from case management and final hearings in the County Court to contested proceedings in the High Court. He has also appeared on behalf of parents successfully fighting for contact with children in care and wider family members seeking special guardianship orders.
Connor has a thriving practice in private children law applications. He has appeared on behalf of parents seeking Child Arrangements Orders in the first instance and also for those seeking to enforce existing arrangements as well as those undertaking Fact-Finding hearings in contested matters.

Connor trained as an army reservist with the 4th Battalion, Parachute Regiment (4 PARA), and recently transferred to 299 Parachute Squadron (RE) in Hull. As a result, he has developed a thorough understanding of the requirements and realities of service life, the structure of the Armed Forces, and the Chain of Command practice.
Connor accepts direct instruction from the Armed Forces Legal Aid Authority (AFCLAA) and provides specialist advice to anyone facing AGAI proceedings or pursuing a Redress of Complaint. He also provides representation in connection with appeals before the Reserve Forces Appeal Tribunal.
Having previously worked as a county court advocate, Connor has a thorough understanding of civil procedure and has particular experience with infant approval hearings and low-value RTA claims. Connor has also become familiar with PPI claims and the associated technical complexities that such cases entail.
